Delete Account

You can request deletion of your Peak Short account and associated personal information. This page explains what deletion affects, how to send a request, and what information may need to be retained.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Deletion removes or de-identifies the personal information associated with your account, subject to the retention needs described below. For the account functions you use, this includes:

• Your profile and linked account information.
• Your viewing history, progress, preferences, and saved content.
• Access through the deleted account to account benefits, unlocked content, and related records that are not required to be retained.

Keep a copy of any information you need before deletion. Deleting an account does not transfer its benefits to a new account or automatically create a refund. App-store purchase records and any rights required by applicable law are handled separately.

Data Retention

Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. These may include transaction records and a limited record of the deletion request. Retained information is limited to the relevant purpose and kept for the period required or permitted by applicable law.

Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten under the applicable backup cycle. Information already anonymized so it can no longer be linked to you may be retained. You can ask us to explain any exception that applies to your request. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

How to Delete Your Account

If your app version includes an account-deletion option, follow that option and read the confirmation notice before confirming. If you cannot access your account, cannot find that option, or prefer to contact us, use the email method below.

Email contact@peakshort.cc with the subject "Account Deletion Request". Include the account email address or user identifier so we can locate the account. A reason for deletion is optional. Send the request from your linked email address where possible. If you no longer have access to that address, explain this in your message.

We may request proportionate information to verify ownership before deleting an account. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, full payment card details, or identity documents in your initial request.

Before You Delete: Your Subscription

Deleting your Peak Short account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an app-store subscription. If you have an active subscription, manage or cancel it through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase to avoid future renewal charges.

The store's subscription terms determine cancellation deadlines, remaining access, and refund eligibility. An account-deletion email is not a subscription cancellation or refund request.

Processing Time

Processing time depends on identity verification, the scope of the request, and any legal retention requirements. We respond within the time required by applicable law. If we need more information or an extension allowed by law, we explain the next steps.

For an email request, we confirm the outcome by email after processing. Sending a request does not mean that deletion has already occurred. Keep the message thread if you need to ask about its status.

Alternative Options

If you prefer to keep your account, you can ask us to correct or remove specific personal information instead. You can also use any privacy, history, or preference controls available in your app version. You may cancel a subscription separately without deleting your account.

Reactivation

A completed account deletion cannot be reversed. If you return to Peak Short, you will need to create a new account. Previous progress, saved items, and other deleted account information cannot be restored. Any purchase-restoration entitlement is subject to the applicable store and purchase terms.
